The catalan “Pa amb tomàquet”

Pa amb tomàquet (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈpam tuˈmakət]) (“Bread with tomato”), is a traditional food of Catalan, Valencian, Aragonese, Balearic and Murcian cuisines in SpainPa amb tomàquet is considered a staple of Catalan cuisine and identity. While considered a signature toast dish in the Catalan Countries, it is common in bars throughout the rest of Spain, where it is also known as pan con tomate.

It’s a super easy recipe for a quick breakfast or a snack before meal. the only things you need is tomatoes and bread and if you like also garlic.


ingredients for Pa amb tomàquet

Bread
Salt
Extra virgin olive oil
Tomato
Bread


Let’s start by toasting your favorite bread. at the same time start grating on a cheese grater a tomato into a bowl.
Then add to the bowl a spoon of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt. When the bread is toasted pour the grated tomato on top. Add some pepper and salt to taste and enjoy your bread with tomato and imagine you are in Spain
