COVID-19 Contingency Plan

Vegan Junkies should take the following measures:

✓ Alert the worker with symptoms (compatible with COVID-19), quickly proceeding to internal communication between the symptomatic worker – or the worker that identifies a symptomatic worker within the company – and the direct leadership and the employer (or someone appointed by him).

Have the Workers take Sensitivity Training on:

✓ The Vegan Junkies Contingency Plan

✓ Standard hand sanitation procedures (ex: washing hands with water and soap for at least 20 seconds; if those are not available using hand sanitizer containing at least 70% alcohol, covering all surface areas of the hands, and rubbing them until they are dry; soap and water should be preferably used if the hands are visibly dirty.) An individual hand sanitizer is available for each worker.

✓  Respiratory etiquette procedures (avoiding to cough or sneeze into the hands; cough or sneeze into the forearm or sleeve, with the forearm bent or use a tissue; sanitize hands after any contact with respiratory secretions).

✓  Surgical mask use procedures (including hand sanitation before placing the mask and after removing it).

✓  Social conduct procedures (alter the frequency and/or type of contact amongst the workers and between them and the clients – avoid the handshake, in-person meetings and shared work posts).

Vegan Junkies will immediately implement the following measures:

✓  Making sanitizers available in common spaces (bathrooms and dining spaces), predicated on their existence in the market.

✓  Divulging information to collaborators and possible visitors (when necessary).

✓  Creating an isolation area.

✓  Distribution of equipment for personal protection (masks and gloves).

✓  Introduction of a Sanitation Plan.

Rules and Safety Procedures for Dining

✓ The worker should try to keep as distant as possible from his colleagues during meals, keeping at least a two-seat distance between each other and sitting diagonally from one another. Never face-to-face.

✓ Try to manage eating schedules to reduce the number of people in the same place (ex: lunch times divided by groups).

Workplaces

✓ Masks are mandatory in closed spaces (ex: office, inside any building).

✓ Use of physical barriers (ex: glass windows, acrylic, counters) between worker and client/citizen/the public.

✓ Balanced monitoring and management of the client’s access to the company/establishment’s interior.

✓ Limiting the amount of time (permanence) of the client/citizen/ the publicin the company/establishment.

✓ Restricted public access to areas of the establishment; booking in advance for customer services.

✓ Creating specific circuits/flows for customer service.

✓ Providing social and community masks to visitors, suppliers and clients, or making them mandatory during visits/movement.

✓ At the end of the day, each worker should proceed to the sanitation of their work post, especially of their tools, work desk, keyboard, and other work surfaces.

✓ Doubled efforts in the cleaning and sanitation of great-contact points: cell-phones, keyboards, tools, doorknobs, banisters, light switches, buttons, etc.

✓ Ensure as much ventilation as possible in spaces (windows, doors) and avoid air recycling.
